FAQs

How long is the shelf life of your treats?

Since most of my treats are crunchy, the shelf life is at least 3 months from time of baking. This is actually a VERY conservative timeframe. Generally they will last six months or longer as long as they are kept in a sealed container in a cool, dry location. My cakes and other softer treats are like any other pastry. They’re best within a few days, but can be frozen.

Why aren’t your colors brighter?

Because I use all natural ingredients and coloring, most colors end up a bit more muted than what we’re used to with regular food coloring. If you want to special order a cookie or cake with brighter colors, I am happy to do so, but understand that while in small amounts the colors will be dog safe, they will NOT be all natural.

Can you make softer treats for my senior dog?

Sure! Most of my treats are dehydrated after baking to get that crunch and longer shelf life. If you would like me to skip that step for a softer treat, just contact me directly to special order them. My Grain Free Peanut Butter Banana treats are the softest before dehydrating. **Please note** soft treats will NOT last as long, so should be refrigerated or frozen to last the longest

Can you make larger treats?

Absolutely! I can make most of my everyday treats larger - I have a 3” bone shape I generally use. Since I charge by the ounce, just understand that there will be fewer treats in a bag, but the weight will be the same. At the moment, my grain free can only be done in the current size.

Do you offer wholesale prices?

Sure! Just send me a message directly for more information.

When will your canine cafe open?

Right now I’m working on getting my name out there and building our community. I also have to make sure I get my ducks in a row, as they say, as far as all the regulations and everything goes. My guess is it will be at least another year before I can seriously look at storefronts. I wanted it MUCH sooner, but I’ve been working with some wonderful advisors who have been helping understand better what it takes to make sure I have the best possible chance to succeed.
